Golden, CO
The big event today was picking up Mom at the Denver
airport. It was a seamless pick up. Together we went to Golden, CO.
We had a great lunch at The Golden Hotel. It was very pretty overlooking
Clear Creek. Golden was quite busy due to the holiday weekend.
Now, the highlight of Golden was its ice cream. I have been taste
testing homemade ice cream all along the trip. So far, Golden has the best ice cream.
This particular shop has won awards for 5 years in a row. Not only was it
creamy, but it was very smooth. Delicious!
There are numerous sculptures around town that are quite
interesting. Dad found a lucky buffalo.
Off to Utah tomorrow! It will be Mom’s first travel day.
