Day Forty Five

Connell, WA to Missoula, MT
290 Miles

It is so refreshing to be back in the West again. Montana is very similar to Colorado. The highways follow crystal clear rivers and are surrounded by beautiful evergreen mountains. The Rocky Mountains are nearby as well.

With being in the mountains comes mountain passes. At this point, they are old hat. These passes are lower and what I envisioned before leaving home. They are nothing like Wolf Creek Pass. (Sorry for the quality. It was quick and through the window.)

Tonight we are staying miles away from the National Rattlesnake Preserve. Let’s all hope we don’t see one! Tomorrow is our last long travel day before meeting Mom. I’m anxious to see Yellowstone.
