Day Forty

Bogeda Bay

Just a short entry today.  We decided to drive to the Bogeda Bay, which is just north of San Francisco.  Our GPS took us through the back roads and it was interesting to see that the land became greener as it benefits from the cool moisture of the Pacific Ocean.  Interestingly, we saw more herds of cattle than ever, yet they were almost all dairy cattle.  At least milk provides an alternative to wine when you would like to have something to drink.

Bogeda Bay was much less luxurious than expected.  This boat is not representative of all of them, but sure looked like many in the nearby boat yard.

We went to the State beach to get a better view of the Pacific Ocean.  It was extremely cold and still quite foggy as it  has been the last few days.

We walked down this very expensive, extensive board walk to get to the beach.  Unfortunately, the ramp at the end is about five feet high with no means to climb down to the sand.  It made no sense to us at all as it forced people climbed down the sand dunes to avoid the public access.

As always, where ever we travel, there are always wonderful wild flowers.

Safe travels to Alysa and me, and best of luck to California Chrome!
