Day Forty Six

Day Forty Six
Missoula, MT to Gardiner, MT
290 Miles

Montana is gorgeous. It is the picturesque "west" most imagine. Soaring mountains covered in snow, rolling green hills and pastures with cattle, crystal clear winding rivers, and trains passing through. This was our second most beautiful ride, second to the Big Thompson Canyon.

There are many abandoned houses and ranches along the highway. Some even have the original and now antique cars parked in the front yard. You wonder what caused a family to pack everything and leave?

There was lots of wildlife today, but I am still on the lookout for a wild buffalo herd.

Off to pick up Mom tomorrow and then head to a rodeo tomorrow night.
